Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy fought the good fight in their overtime  matchup against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Silver Knights by a score of  61-58. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has struggled against Riverside Prep recently, as their  matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
  Raoul Churchill continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverside Prep,  dropping  a double-double on 26 points and 18  rebounds. Churchill has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's  played.  James Macey was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with five  rebounds and four  steals.
 Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Riverside Prep, their victory  ended a five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 8-12.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy will take on Hesperia Christian at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Hesperia Christian focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Riverside Prep, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Big Bear at 5:30  p.m. Big Bear knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Riverside Prep likes a good challenge.
