Football Recap: Yulee Skates Past Englewood with Ease

Yulee owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They blew past the Englewood Rams, posting a 27-0 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 27 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Brooke Reid, who threw for 78 yards and two TDs while completing 75% of her passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Yulee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kamilya Johnson and Rheyna Hilton. Autumn Bishop was another major factor on D, picking up three sacks and making four total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Yulee's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Englewood, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Yulee will be playing in front of their home fans against Hilliard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Flashes' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Hornets' offense will have their work cut out for them. Englewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
