On Friday, the Hillsborough Raiders faced the Oratory Prep Rams in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Hillsborough escaped with a win against Oratory Prep by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. The victory was nothing new for Hillsborough as they're now sitting on four straight.
Hillsborough got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Philip Unangst out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The game was Unangst's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Green, who scored 15 points.
Hillsborough's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Oratory Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-1.
Hillsborough will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Immaculata at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Immaculata has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Oratory Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Abraham Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
