A well-balanced attack led the Agua Dulce Longhorns over the La Villa Cardinals in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Agua Dulce blew the Cardinals out of the water with a 48-21 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Agua Dulce had established a 24 point advantage.
Agua Dulce was led to victory by Isabella Ybarra and Avery Calvez. Ybarra scored 12 points along with five rebounds, while Calvez scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ybarra has scored all season. Alyssa Vinton was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.
Agua Dulce is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for La Villa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
