In what's become a running theme this season, the Fallston Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. Everything went their way against Rising Sun as Fallston made off with a 48-27 win. Winning may never get old, but Fallston sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Ayla Galloway was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Fallston's points. Another player making a difference was Natalie Wirth, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Fallston is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Rising Sun, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fallston will take on Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Patterson Mill is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Fallston a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Rising Sun, they will head out on the road to square off against Harford Tech at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
