Mountain Valley will challenge Cheraw on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Cheraw will need to watch out since Mountain Valley have now posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Mountain Valley simply couldn't be stopped last Saturday, as they easily beat Branson/Kim 66-16. Among those leading the charge for Mountain Valley was junior Elijah Roberts, who rushed for 152 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Cheraw, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 34-38 to Eads. It was a tough break for Cheraw, who improved upon an already decent score from two weeks ago but lost both times.
Mountain Valley's win lifted them to 7-0 while Cheraw's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. We'll see if Mountain Valley's success rolls on or if Cheraw are able to steal their positive momentum.
