On Wednesday, the Rancho Rams faced the Palo Verde Panthers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rancho walked away with a 78-66 victory over Palo Verde. The victory was nothing new for Rancho as they're now sitting on six straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rancho to victory, but perhaps none more so than R'Zha Whittle, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Whittle has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jakoi Lide, who scored 23 points along with three steals.
Rancho is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Palo Verde, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Rancho will head out on the road to face off against Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Las Vegas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Wednesday. As for Palo Verde, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Legacy at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Legacy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
