The Lexington Yellowjackets were the 56-13 winner over the North Forsyth Vikings when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Lexington fell 46-37 to North Forsyth on Wednesday. Lexington has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Lexington still got an impressive performance from Lily Ervin, who scored 16 points. Maliyah Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
North Forsyth got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nyemia Sides out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Another player making a difference was Jylyia Mizell, who scored 13 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Forsyth, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Lexington is on the road again on Saturday and play against Providence Grove at 10:00 a.m. on November 25th. As for North Forsyth, they will be playing at home against Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
