Grants can  bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match  on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Highland Hornets as they made off with  a  3-0 victory. The Pirates not only won  on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win  since September 17th (when they won  3-0).
 While Grants won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 27-25,  25-16.
Grants found their leader in freshman  Mariah Melonas, who  had 16  digs and two  aces.
 Grants  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 13  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in September.
Grants' win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-20.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grants is set to  take on  their familiar foe Belen  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Highland will  face off against  rival Valencia  at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
