The Dinwiddie Generals will challenge the Glen Allen Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Glen Allen will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Dinwiddie extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday. The Generals put the hurt on Hopewell with a sharp 16-6 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Generals considering their one-run performance the game before.
Addison Everett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Everett was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kailie Bookman was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kimball Crowder, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Glen Allen and Deep Run meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Jaguars' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 7-0 shutout.
The result came thanks to Jaidyn Tillman's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Glen Allen let Ashton Limbach and Alison Via run wild. Limbach got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Via went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Hueston, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Dinwiddie's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Glen Allen, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Dinwiddie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .386. However, it's not like Glen Allen struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Dinwiddie's way against Glen Allen in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, as Dinwiddie made off with a 13-7 win. Do the Generals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
