Natrona County is 2-8 against Campbell County since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Natrona County Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Campbell County Camels at 6:00 p.m. Natrona County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Natrona County strolled past South with points to spare, taking the game 51-36.
Meanwhile, Campbell County faced Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Campbell County blew past Central 61-38. Campbell County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Campbell County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylie Neary, who scored 14 points along with six steals. Neary is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Kuhbacher, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Natrona County's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Campbell County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Natrona County might still be hurting after the 56-33 loss they got from Campbell County when the teams last played back in January. Can Natrona County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
