The Appalachian Christian Trailblazers lost against the Tandem Friends Badgers back in January of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Appalachian Christian suffered a tough 68-47 loss at the hands of Tandem Friends. Appalachian Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.
Several Trailblazers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaxon Duff, who scored 21 points. Duff scored a full 44.7% of Appalachian Christian's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Beckett Waldron, who scored 11 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tandem Friends to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sincere ?Sinn? Fordham, who scored 21 points. Ty Shelton was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Appalachian Christian and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Tandem Friends, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Appalachian Christian will be playing at home against Ridgeview Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Tandem Friends, they will head out on the road to face off against Randolph-Macon Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
