Basketball Recap: Greenforest Skates Past Towers with Ease

Greenforest extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday, bumping them up to 18-5. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Towers Titans 80-39. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greenforest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Savion Stewart, who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Stewart a new career-high. Agei Aguelet was another key player, putting up 16 points.

As for Towers, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Greenforest is ranked 25th).

Towers lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jalen Kelly, who earned 13 points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Corinthius Collins, who put up eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Greenforest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-37 win against W D Mohammed on the 30th. As for Towers, they have also already played their next contest, a 77-68 loss against Social Circle on the 29th.
