Rock Canyon is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Regis Jesuit is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Rock Canyon Jaguars will host the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Rock Canyon will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Castle View, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Rock Canyon really took it to Castle View for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-31 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-11.

Brooke Harding was her usual excellent self, going 9-for-13 to rack up 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The match was her seventh in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Maze, who posted 11 points.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Regis Jesuit). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 83-18 victory over Heritage. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.
Regis Jesuit's win came from a few key players Rock Canyon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jane Rumpf, who went 8-for-13 on her way to 21 points and eight boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mallory Neff, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Regis Jesuit was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Heritage only four assists.
Regis Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points over those games. Rock Canyon's win bumped their record up to 13-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Rock Canyon has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.5 boards per game. However, it's not like Regis Jesuit struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Rock Canyon might still be hurting after the 73-48 loss they got from Regis Jesuit in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will Rock Canyon have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
