The Lake Placid Dragons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-19 victory over Santa Fe Catholic at home. Considering Lake Placid has won four games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Antranique Felton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 22 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lake Placid's points. Another player making a difference was Kalianna Crenshaw, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Santa Fe Catholic still got an impressive performance from Takira Watson, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Santa Fe Catholic struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Lake Placid pulled down 31 offensive rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Lake Placid and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Lake Placid will play host again and welcome Discovery, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Fe Catholic is on the road again on Monday and play against Frostproof at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th. Frostproof has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
