Havelock extended the longest winning streak in 3A Coastal this week by beating West Carteret, 67-13. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Rams.
Conley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Davis Kirkpatrick threw for 106 and two touchdowns and Bryant Beaulieu had 73 yards receiving. On the ground Walker Cummings chipped in 118 yards. Cummings helped Conley's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Havelock's Pharoh Cooper and Michael Bowman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cooper has thrown for 1822 yards this season, while Bowman, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 33 catches for 544 yards. Cummings from the Vikings leads the league in rushing with 1194 yards.
Derrell Scott of the Jim Bob Bryant's team is only 19 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 106 carries Scott has accumulated 981 yard this year.
Entering into this week's contest against the Eagles, Cooper is short just 178 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Patriots take on Washington. West Carteret is currently in third, while the Pam-Pack are in second.
Havelock led 3A Coastal in scoring this week after putting up 67 points on Todd Nelson's team.
