Monument Valley is 9-1 against Tuba City since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Monument Valley Mustangs will be playing at home against the Tuba City Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Monument Valley fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Page on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Sand Devils by a score of 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Monument Valley has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Uzziel Flores, who scored 32 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kerry Nash, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Tuba City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 79-73 to Ganado. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Saturday (58), Tuba City still had to take the loss.
Monument Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Tuba City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-13.
