Volleyball Recap: Texas Lions Academy Comes Up Short

Texas Lions Academy lost against Central Texas Christian on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Texas Lions Academy fell 2-0 to Central Texas Christian. Texas Lions Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Texas Lions Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kadence Folts had ten digs and two aces. Folts has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Central Texas Christian was led to victory by Meredith Turner and Brianna Beltran. Turner had eight digs, while Beltran had eight assists. That's the most digs Turner has posted over her last seven contests.

Texas Lions Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-2. As for Central Texas Christian, their win bumped their record up to 18-1-1.

Looking ahead, Texas Lions Academy will be taking part in a tournament against New Braunfels Thunder at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. The Homeschool will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central Texas Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Vanguard College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
