Old Colony recap October 1, 2013
Dartmouth moved up to 51 from 97 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Old Colony. The Indians were able to move up by beating Apponequet Regional 26-21.
Barnstable and Xaverian Brothers played the most contested game in the league this week, with Barnstable eventually emerging with a 15-14 victory. Kristian Lucashensky threw for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 11 yards during the win.
The Red Raiders' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Hayden Murphy contributed 41 yards. Murphy helped Barnstable's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 37 yards.
Lucashensky put up the best numbers in passing as Barnstable topped the Hawks. Lucashensky's favorite target this week was Colby Blaze, who caught 2 passes for 63 yards.
Barnstable's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lucashensky has thrown for 265 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Derek Estes has 3 catches for 90 yards.
Bridgewater-Raynham took down New Bedford 32-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
