Basketball Game Preview: Union Academy Cardinals vs. Gray Stone Day Knights

Union Academy has gone 10-0 against Gray Stone Day recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Union Academy Cardinals will host the Gray Stone Day Knights at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Union Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Last Thursday, Union Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Albemarle, but they still walked away with a 63-58 victory.

Heath Lunsford went supernova for Union Academy, going 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Lunsford has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Additon, who posted four points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Gray Stone Day was beaten by Sun Valley 75-32 on Wednesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gray Stone Day's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Union Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
