Frankenmuth is on a eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Kingsford is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Frankenmuth Eagles will take on the Kingsford Flivvers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Frankenmuth has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 511 points over their last ten games.
Frankenmuth had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Birch Run 64-10 at home. Frankenmuth might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won ten matches by 25 points or more this season.
Jack Rich continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 186 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 139 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Rich is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Bernthal, who gained 139 total yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Frankenmuth's defense and their four sacks. Leading the way was Colin Main and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Kingsford didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ogemaw Heights on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 19-14 win.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 10-1.
