With a playoff game on the line, the Bozeman Bucks rose to the challenge on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over the Blue Devils. The win was just business as usual for Bozeman, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Peyton Gay was his usual excellent self, throwing for 250 yards and three touchdowns. Gay hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games.
Although Holmes County took the loss, they still got scores from Landon Lumpkin and Jameson Bacon.
Bozeman pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.7 points per game. As for Holmes County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.
Bozeman will head out on the road to face off against Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Madison County: 13.2, Bozeman: 14.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Holmes County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
