The Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 35-6 victory over Williamston at home. Considering Notre Dame Prep has won eight contests by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jacob Tuttle had a dynamite game for Notre Dame Prep, rushing for 93 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 204 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Joey Decasas, who picked up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Notre Dame Prep's victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-1 Clinton and 6-4 Divine Child (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.5% over those games). As for Williamston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Notre Dame Prep will head out on the road to face off against Corunna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Corunna knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Notre Dame Prep likes a good challenge. Williamston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
