She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). Schumann has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 20 consecutive pitching appearances. Schumann was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, and an RBI.
