Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Pontotoc). They blew past the Byhalia Indians, posting a 65-19 win. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Indians are ranked 266th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Pontotoc has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points per game. As for Byhalia, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
