It was a good run, but Smithsburg unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to the Clear Spring Blazers. The match marked the first time this season in which the Leopards were not able to get on the board.

Smithsburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Bowman, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Smithsburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Clear Spring, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

While Smithsburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
