The Elmira Falcons will venture away from home to take on the La Pine Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Elmira's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
Elmira is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Pleasant Hill 22-7 on Friday. The Falcons have beaten the Billies the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Billies has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Layla Burgess, who went 3-for-5 with four runs and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shiloh Jackson, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Elmira kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.
La Pine couldn't beat Sisters on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Hawks lost 17-8 to the Outlaws. Hawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Outlaws since on Friday.
August Walker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Jade Seymour was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Elmira pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for La Pine, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Elmira hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393. However, it's not like La Pine struggles in that department as they've averaged .367. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Elmira took their win against La Pine when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
