After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Barrington, McHenry was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They put the hurt on the Crystal Lake South Gators with a sharp  7-1 victory. With that  win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.1  runs per game.
 Natalie Bender spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on five hits and racked up ten Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Danica McCarthy was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted  over her last 14  matches.  Rylinn Gottstein was another key player,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
McHenry's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Crystal Lake South, they dropped their record down to 0-21 with the  loss, which was their 12th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
