The Parkville Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against New Town, falling 69-16. Parkville has struggled against New Town recently, as their contest on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
New Town was led to victory by Ijae Dower and Nialah Mingo. Dower scored 16 points, while Mingo scored 18 points. It was the first time this season that Dower scored 15 or more points. Nasia Hart was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Parkville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for New Town, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Parkville will square off against Dulaney at TBD on Wednesday. Parkville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Dulaney is ranked 51st). As for New Town, they will be playing at home against Randallstown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
