Hale Ray  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Portland Highlanders  a   25-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Noises also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 Lily Jahne made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Jahne was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.

 In other batting news, Hale Ray got a  massive  performance out of  Maggie Janecek, who  went 2-for-4 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and one  triple. Those  five  RBI gave  Janecek a new career-high.  Faith Kalisz was another key player,  scoring five  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Hale Ray  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Portland only posted  an  OBP of  .067.
 Hale Ray wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  10-3  win against Coginchaug Regional on the 8th. As for Portland, they have also already played their next contest,  an  18-14  victory against Vinal RVT on the 8th.
