Hawthorne moved up to 823 from 892 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ocean. The Cougars were able to move up by defeating Leuzinger 44-8.
Hawthorne took down the Olympians 44-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Culver City's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Armani Rodgers threw for 324 and 2 touchdowns and Stanley Norman had 157 yards receiving. On the ground Donovan Davis contributed 68 yards. Marcus Moore helped Culver City's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 112 yards.
The Centaurs' dynamic duo of Rodgers and Norman proved tough for Bishop Amat to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Moore helped Culver City's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 112 yards.
Culver City's David Handler and Moore have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Handler has thrown for 589 yards this season, while Moore has 17 catches for 306 yards. Christian Williams from Morningside leads the league in rushing with 564 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Morningside takes on second place Santa Monica. The Monarchs fell to View Park last week, while Santa Monica lost to Hart.
