Dos Palos has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Dos Palos Broncos and the East Bakersfield Blades will face off at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Dos Palos beat Gustine 51-47. The team accrued 40 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Jacquez Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Robey Peacock, who scored 11 points.
East Bakersfield can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game last Thursday. They came out on top against Arvin by a score of 55-42. The win was just what East Bakersfield needed coming off of a 76-50 loss in their prior matchup.
Dos Palos' record is now 2-8. East Bakersfield's record now sits at 4-6.
Dos Palos might still be hurting after the 70-44 defeat they got from East Bakersfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Can Dos Palos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
