The Highland Tech Rams will look to defend their home field on Friday against the East Gaston Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Highland Tech is out to stop a 20-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Highland Tech suffered a rough 37-14 defeat at the hands of Thomas Jefferson.
Meanwhile, East Gaston was beaten by Shelby 49-13 on Thursday. East Gaston was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
East Gaston's defeat came about despite a quality game from Trenton Sherrill, who rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 186 yards and a touchdown.
Highland Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for East Gaston, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Highland Tech was taken down by East Gaston 58-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Highland Tech have more luck at home instead of on the road?
