Guerin Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Cardinal, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The match was Cardinal's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Robert Sorensen, who scored 12 points.
Several Royals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Kegerreis, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Kegerreis' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Joe Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Guerin Catholic and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Roncalli, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Guerin Catholic and Bethesda Christian will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at. Roncalli will finish 2023 at home by hosting Pendleton Heights at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pendleton Heights is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
