Meanwhile, Bohemia Manor got the win against Edgewood on Monday by a conclusive 11-1. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Lyla Wescoat (2027) made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Kylee Bergman (2025) Salisbury was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Elizabeth Marcum (2027) was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Bohemia Manor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edgewood only posted a batting average of .167.
The win made it two in a row for Bohemia Manor and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Harford Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harford Tech hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Bohemia Manor struggles in that department as they've averaged .376. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
