Beaver proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the San Juan Broncos, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won five in a row.

Beaver saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davin Orton, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Beaver's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for San Juan, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Beaver will take on Emery at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Juan, they will be taking part in a tournament against Grand County at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. San Juan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
