On Friday, Dirigo narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Maranacook 21-18. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
The victory bumped Dirigo's record up to 6-1. The loss dropped Maranacook's record to 4-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Dirigo take on Telstar at 1:30 PM. As for Maranacook, they will face off against Boothbay.
