Meanwhile, while Torres put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Riverdale. The Toros were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Cowboys. The result was nothing new for the Toros, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Torres got a massive performance out of Tatiana Bermudez Maciel, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Bermudez Maciel has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of J'lynn Mitchell, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple.
Torres kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They are 10-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Kern Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Torres, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-13.
