It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Minneola Wildcats can now relate to. They were dealt a 58-12 loss at the hands of South Central on Friday. Minneola's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
JT Prusa was his usual excellent self, rushing for 286 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Prusa has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Coda Lindsay was another key contributor, rushing for 82 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.
Minneola's defeat dropped their record down to 10-1. As for South Central, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Minneola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Central will face off against Victoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Victoria is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
