The Lincoln Golden Bears lost against the Pell City Panthers back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lincoln was outmatched by Pell City at home and fell 66-27. While losing is never fun, Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Pell City is ranked 66th).
Pell City had a senior duo take command as Reagan Tarver scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals and Iyana Allen scored 20 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Tarver has scored at least 25% of Pell City's points. Another player making a difference was Heaven O'Neal, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Lincoln now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Pell City, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Lincoln will be playing at home against Southside on Friday. Pell City will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Albertville at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th. Albertville has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
