The Perry Commodores''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Ridgedale by a score of 19-16. Perry lost against Ridgedale in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 26-20 score last time.
Ridgedale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Murphy, who picked up 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Deas, who rushed for 101 yards on only 11 carries.
Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ridgedale, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Perry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ridgedale is also done with their season.
