The Fremont Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Antioch as Fremont made off with a 56-31 victory. Fans of Fremont have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Fremont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylen Wheeler out in front who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Wheeler's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ozmandias Savage, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 blocks.
Fremont pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Antioch, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fremont will take on De La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. De La Salle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Fremont likes a good challenge. As for Antioch, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Eden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Eden comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
