Therrell is 1-6 against Business Engineering Science Tech since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Therrell Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Business Engineering Science Tech Eagles at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Therrell has five straight victories, Business Engineering Science Tech has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Therrell can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. Everything went their way against Mount Paran Christian as Therrell made off with a 34-9 win.
Meanwhile, Business Engineering Science Tech fell victim to North Cobb Christian's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. Their rough 24-0 defeat to the Eagles might stick with them for a while.
Therrell's victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Towers and 1-8 Mt. Zion (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 20.9% over those games). As for Business Engineering Science Tech, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Therrell didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Business Engineering Science Tech when the teams last played back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 27-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Therrell since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
