The Lawrenceburg Tigers will take on the Greensburg Pirates at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lawrenceburg will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against Batesville on Thursday. The Tigers blew past the Bulldogs 12-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Reigha Ghiatis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Hall, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.
Lawrenceburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Greensburg entered their tilt with Hauser on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Jets with a sharp 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their one-run performance the game before.
Harper Adams spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
Lawrenceburg pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Greensburg, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lawrenceburg has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Greensburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lawrenceburg came up short against Greensburg when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 4-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
