The Meade Mustangs waltzed into their matchup Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Francis Scott Key 63-33 at home. That 63-33 margin sets a new team best for Meade this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Meade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Moses Gakodi, who scored six points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Gakodi pulled down eight or more rebounds. Keon Scott was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meade's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Francis Scott Key, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Meade won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wilde Lake at 9:00 p.m. on December 28th. Wilde Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Meade is ranked 38th). Francis Scott Key won't have much time to rest: their next game is against High Point at 10:30 a.m. on December 28th. High Point is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.5 points per game.
