Jojo Adams Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Whitehouse got the W thanks in part to Jojo Adams playing the best football he has all season. Adams rushed for 183 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 233 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
The victory got Whitehouse back to even at 4-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats dukes it out withHallsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Keyunta Lias Leads Marshall over Jacksonville
Marshall was led to victory by Keyunta Lias, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Lias rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. He has become a key player for Marshall: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Marshall has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Lias will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Nacogdoches on Friday.

Tradarian Ball Dazzles in Texas Win
Tradarian Ball's big game helped extend Texas's winning streak to eight on Friday. Mt. Pleasant had no answer to Ball as he rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 61 receiving yards and a touchdown. Ball has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
Ball must have Mt. Pleasant's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Ball saw Mt. Pleasant), he rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also caught a touchdown.

Ahmad Moore's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Ahmad Moore produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Texas to the win on Friday. Moore rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
On the season, Moore has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 54.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 2.71 rushing yards per game.

Tyren Mathews Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Tyren Mathews of Nacogdoches. Mathews' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 107 rushing yards.
Nacogdoches now has a losing record at 3-4. Mathews and Nacogdoches will square off against Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
