The Trenton Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-10 win over Bell on the road. That looming 66-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Trenton yet this season.
It was another big night for Koi Perry, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 11 assists, and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Nyima Gillyard was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The victory (which was Trenton's fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Bell, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trenton will take on Oak Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hall is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Bell, Bell and Newberry will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Newberry presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bell in Florida (Newberry is ranked 134th, while Bell is ranked 494th).
