North Middlesex Regional will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Groton-Dunstable at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
North Middlesex Regional had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-28 punch to the gut against Grafton Memorial last Friday.
Meanwhile, Groton-Dunstable couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They might be aching after a bruising 0-28 loss to Nashoba Regional. Groton-Dunstable were down by 0-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
