The biggest upset of the week belonged to Piedmont, who defeated 32nd ranked Clinton, 45-19. Brett Adams during the win.
Anadarko extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 1 this week by beating Woodward, 18-15. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Warriors.
Anadarko's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brandon Pollard threw for 160 and 1 touchdown and Josh Parton had 66 yards receiving. On the ground RJ Sink chipped in 141 yards. Mykel Shaw helped Anadarko's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 40 yards.
Malik Boardingham was a key player and the best on defense this week as Kent Jackson's team beat the Boomers. The 6-foot-4 junior racked up 1 sack.
Sink was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 141 yards on 25 carries as the Warriors bested Woodward. Pollard also contributed to the rushing game with 34 yards on the ground.
Anadarko's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pollard has thrown for 917 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Brayden Alexander has 23 catches for 358 yards.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Anadarko's Alexander goes up against the Wildcats' Jared Brown.
Next week's game between the Warriors and Piedmont will feature an aerial matchup as Pollard tests his arm against Brown's defensive ability.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Anadarko takes on Craig Church's team. As it stands, the Warriors are in first, while the Wildcats are in third.
