The Chase County Longhorns's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 51-38 victory over Perkins County. That's another feather in the cap for Chase County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Perkins County still got an impressive performance from Kailee Potts, who scored 14 points along with five steals. That was a full 36.8% of Perkins County's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Cole, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
The victory got Chase County back to even at 7-7. As for Perkins County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Holyoke the next time they take the court. Perkins County will host Holyoke at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chase County will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
